About Us

Devaki Amma Memorial Teacher Education College is established in the year 2001 by Devaki Amma Memorial Trust, 5/493 B1, Maaanu, Sasthri Nagar, Eranhipalam, Kozhikode -06. The College functions in its own land and buildings in a pollution free village 3 Kms from Calicut University Campus and 5 Kms from Ramanattukara Town. Our model school is just 50 mtrs from the college; NNMHSS Chelembra. In the year 2005 sanction was accorded by the Govt. and NCTE to start TTC (D. Ed) and in the year 2006 M. Ed, with an intake of 35 students was sanctioned.

The Principal of the college was awarded by the University of Calicut the title & certificate of Best Teacher Education College Principal in the year 2014.Sadguru Award’ of the University, won by Mrs. Geethanjali (Asst. Professor, Social Science)

Some of our students have almost completed their PhD in Education. Many of the Alumni are now prominent teachers in various schools and colleges.

Almost all the years the academic record of the college is above 98 percent in all the courses, B.Ed, M.Ed and D. Ed. Most of the students have got placement in various parts of the state and abroad.

The library of the college is well set to guide the future Teachers of the Nation. The collection of books include both national and international of various categories which suit the subjects offered in the college

Psychology Lab

Psychology being the most important part of the curriculum of Teacher Education programme, the college has given most importance in setting up the psychology lab. The tests and Equipments available in the lab is exceptional.

Computer & Language Lab

Our Computer lab consists of more than 25 computers with all required soft wares and accessories. The ETNL language lab provided in the college gives a special experience to the students of the college.

Hostel

The Ladies’ Hostel in the college is situated next to the college and the students are looked after well by a loving and caring warden, who makes no compromise in discipline. The hostel is also provided with round the clock security.
